A person familiar with the negotiations tells The Associated Press that the New York Yankees are close to acquiring pitcher Kerry Wood from the Cleveland Indians.

This is the official free agency request form for the IABL. This form is to be completed by players who wish to change teams after the current season is over and before December 1.

If you are changing leagues (18+ to 28+ etc ...) you DO NOT need to file for free agency. As a courtesy you should let your current manager know you will not be returning for the next season.
