The player of the week award goes to two  players who led their teams to victory over previously unbeaten opponents.

Jeff was all the offense the Beavers needed as they improved to 5-1.  forcing a 3 way tie in the National Division.

The former Hurricane was  2 for 3 with 2 Home Runs and a Sac Fly, driving in 7 runs against his old team.  He also contributed a scoreless inning on the mound.

 

 

Rob was the difference offensively and defensively.

At the plate he was 3 for 4, scoring 2 Runs and knocking in 4.  When he wasn’t swinging the bat he was  striking out 10 Dodgers and holding them to 1 earned run on 3 hits in 7 innings pitched.

Honorable Mention

Eric Teall gets an honorable mention the second week in a row.  Eric picked up his first win with 5 K’s in 2 innings of relief, and contributed at the plate with a Sac Fly, Double, and Home Run.

It was a different Matt for the Braves this week.   Matt Burke going 3 for 5, with 2 doubles and 5 RBI on the day.

Matt Bush was perfect at the plate for the Dodgers, with 5 for 5 and 4 RBI.

Dustin Brown also gets an honorable mention for the second week as he led the pirates to their first win.  Dustin had another complete game striking out 14, and going 3 for 4 with a double.
 
Kurt Corbin and Paul Siegrist led the way for the Expos, each going 4 for 6.  Kurt with a Double and 3 RBI and Paul with a Home Run and 2 RBI

Tryouts and draft for the 2012 Season will be held on Saturday, February 18 at 12:00

The Indiana Baseball Academy will once again be the host for IABL tryouts.  The IBA is located at 9760 Mayflower Park Dr. Carmel, IN 46032

We are anticipating a heavy turnout and it is strongly suggested that you pre-register online.  To register go to Pay Fees on the navigation bar and fill out the age appropriate form.  You may also register at the door starting at 11:00 on the 18th.

The 18+ and 28+ seasons will begin on April 29 and end with Championship weekend on August 26.  The 18+ will play and 18 game schedule with 14 Sundays and 4 Thursdays.  The 28+ will play a 16 game schedule with 3 doubleheaders and all games on Sundays.

The 35+ Division will begin on May 30 and will end with the Championship on September 26.

Tryouts for the 45+ will be announced soon.

You may play in more than one division if you are age eligible.  For the purpose of registration please select one.
