October 1st 2008 - On Tuesday night, Sept 30, at the Indy Library Nora Branch, 32 of the 35 teams were present for the election of a new IABL President. Wayne Edwards, after 6 years of service, felt it was time to hand the reins to a new leader. Both candidates were strong as the vote indicated.
The IABL's new President is John DeCosta. That left a vacancy for Vice-President, which was filled by MABL Director, Damon Grothe. That in turn left a vacancy for MABL Director, which was filled by Dan Taylor of the MABL Dodgers.
The league still has a vacancy for MSBL 28+ Director, as Eric Mertl also stepped down that eveneing.
