June 7th 2007 - Phil Bickle, Indy MSBL pioneer, throws out the inaugural 48+ pitch.
Monday, June 4 was opening night for the 3rd season of Indy's MSBL 48+ division. On hand to open the season was long-time IABL veteran, Phil Bickle. With both teams lined up on the foul lines, Phil threw the first ceremonial pitch from the mound prior to both games. Phil stated that he wished he could be in uniform tonight, but being able to throw out the first pitch was a thrill. Phil is battling cancer and has endured a series of treatments.
